-- Persian Dance --

Called "Persian" on the strength of an assertion by the scholars who put together the patch array of the General MIDI complement

that the voice playing the lead on this tune is a "santur," a hammered dulcimer that they use in Iran. The music does have a flavor

that we as "Westerners" attribute to the muslim world, but I can't say with any certainty that it's authentically "Persian."  I'm in this

to make music, to exercise my imagination, and hopefully to stimulate other people's imaginations. The music holds together

well enough, and it's definitely not "Hang On, Sloopy."   Call the genre "Mideastern" once again.
